Amber Kamilah (she/her) transitioned from a background in strategic planning consulting, marketing, and graphic design to delve into the study of the mind in 2013. She earned a Master’s in Mind, Brain, and Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE), complementing her BBA in Marketing from Oakwood University. She has since accumulated a decade of expertise in instructional design, cognitive science, and project management while serving in various roles at HGSE and Project Zero.

Most recently, in collaboration with Daniel Wilson and the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education, Amber co-created the Impactful 5 (i5) framework. This innovative play-based pedagogy fosters holistic skill development in business school students and has been adopted by professors in over 15 countries. Amber was lead author of the i5 Playbook, now available in seven languages.

Amber believes that by merging design with interpersonal connection, any complex concept can be made refreshing and digestible. She has curated and facilitated programs on a range of intricate topics such as spiritual fulfillment, liberation, communication, biases, and social justice for youth, young adults, and women in Boston and Atlanta. Now serving as the Senior Manager of Strategic Communications and Partnerships at the Center for Digital Thriving, Amber aims to stimulate critical thinking through artistry and foster relationships through authenticity.

Amber finds solace in forest bathing, celebrating Black culture, and discovering new music and cuisines.
