Educators in Community

HOW CAN WE UPLIFT AND SUPPORT EDUCATORS AS CO-CREATORS IN THIS WORK?

We create spaces where educators can tinker, reflect, and share together. We believe educators are essential partners in making youth digital thriving possible, and we treat them as both experts and collaborators.

Through advisory councils, workshops, and emerging communities of practice, we partner with educators to refine resources, test ideas in real classrooms, and bridge youth and educator voices.

HOW WE WORK WITH EDUCATORS

Advisory councils

Our inaugural Educator Advisory Council co-designed and refined our free AI classroom practices. They piloted early prototypes, tested activities with their students, and offered feedback from the field. They do so much more than “use” our resources. They stretch them, question them, and adapt them to meet their learners right where they are.

We’re now convening a set of regional Educator Advisory Councils, with advisors who will shape our work across digital well-being and AI.

Live workshops + PD

We lead in-person workshops, keynotes, and school visits where educators, school communities, and other practitioners explore our resources and research together. These sessions can also be adapted for cross-disciplinary teams in other spaces who are interested in exploring the intersection of technology and well-being together.

Virtual workshops + PD

We occasionally host our own virtual learning sessions and presentations so educators can hear directly from our researchers. Our team also participates in interactive virtual sessions, workshops, and webinars to demonstrate our resources and share our research.

Emerging communities of practice

We’ve convened alumni from our 8 Mindshifts course, and educators from other professional development sessions to form communities of practice. These networks help us build continuous listening loops that strengthens both practice and research over time.
